The Strayan's Survival Guide to Skyforge [Part 2 - Order]

The Strayan's Survival Guide to Skyforge

Part 2: The Order Tab

Click Read More to Read On.

As many of you know, Skyforge is a Free-to-Play MMO made by My.Com. A lot of people may feel decieved by some of what people think about it, but honestly, I do not find the whole paying aspect that bad at all. This is the Strayan's Survival Guide to Skyforge, composed into several parts to not make giant walls of text on each part.

This second part starts the juicy content of Skyforge and what makes it different then other Free-to-Play MMOs.

HINT: If you cannot see the pictures, click on them to zoom them in.

PART 2: The Order

Part 1: The Main Interface

This is the Order Tab. You unlock this at 2,050 Prestige.

Picture descriptions below:
  • 1 - Your Order Rank. The maximum order rank as of now is 30 (XXX). You upgrade this rank by gaining followers (described later)
  • 2 - Your Adepts. You can have up to 18 adepts in your Order. (described later)
  • 3 - Your Mission Logs. Assign adepts to do missions while you are offline, or online (your choice).
  • 4 - Prestige Impact from the Order. These include bonuses from chapels, or temples that impact your overall prestige rating.
Part 2-1: Relics for the Order

There are four types of relics you must acquire to keep your order attractive and interesting. They go as followed:

  • Green - Okki Tablets. These are acquired by completing a specific mission found every 2 days in-server time. Once you get your tablet, you won't find another one for at least 2 days.
  • Blue - Ring of the Founder. These are acquired one of two ways. Found by completion of a specific mission found every 2 days in-server time, or combining 10 Okki Tablets together to make 1 Ring of the Founder.
  • Purple - Silver Pommel. These are acquired one of two ways. Found by completion of a specific mission found every 3 days in-server time, or combining 10 Ring of the Founders together to make 1 Silver Pommel.
  • Orange - Eternal Light. Only found by unlocking the Eternal Light node first in the God of Authority Atlas. (not described in this guide due to this supposedly being beginner friendly - It will be described in a future guide) These are found like Silver Pommel's - Once every 3 days in-server time, and cannot be found by combining 10 Silver Pommel's.
Part 2-2: Acquiring Relics

As stated in Part 2-1, you acquire relics through the world map. Every 2-3 days, an icon will appear next to a mission. You must search for those icons and complete whatever mission it is to earn that relic.

For example, in this picture, I see I can get a Ring of the Founder from this mission by completing it.

Make sure to keep an eye out for these four icons (as seen in Part 2-1). Sometimes they are group missions, and you will need a group to do those, unless you are admitted in a Pantheon that gives carries for their members who cannot enter content like group missions frequently.

Once you hit 30,560 prestige and acquire your Divine Form, it may appear as a side reward for an Invasion mission. Keep an eye also on that, if you do not see it visibility in the Recommended tab.

Part 3: Patrons Tab

Now this may sound difficult to understand but here is the Patron tab in the Order section of Skyforge.

Here you must assign your Adepts to handle Providences. To unlock Providences, you must reach a certain Prestige level, then complete the mission(s) given by the Master of Orders found in the Hall of Greatness in the Capital City of Aelinar.

Adepts come in five different qualities, which will be described in Part 6.

Part 4: Missions Tab

This is the bulk of the Order feature. Missions.

Those who have played World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor may be familiar with this feature, but in Skyforge, it actually plays a major component in your character's development.

Assign Adepts (described in Part 6) into doing missions, which can last 15 minutes, 1 hour 30 minutes, or 8 hours and you can choose to wait it out (time passes by missions when outside of game, btw) or you can instantly complete the mission with credits.

You can also use Special Equipment (before assigning a mission) to dictate different factors. These are purchased from the Pantheon tab in the Market (press N) and are the following. These items require you to be in a Pantheon that has unlocked these items before you can buy them.

See picture above for item listings.

If the Pantheon has unlocked this feature, assuming you have your Divine Form unlocked, you will get one of these items for free daily.

Descriptions:
  • Transmitting Device - [Cost: 1 Victor Medal each] - The mission takes two times as long to complete, but the reward of completing the mission is increased by 50%. This item does not increase the reward of the Faith, Victor Medals, or Construction points missions.
  • Data Analysis Module - [Cost: 1 Victor Medal each] - Increases the amount of ammunition or supplies found by completing missions by 50%. Should only be used on Orange ? Missions.
  • Elite Equipment - [Cost: 1 Victor Medal each] - Decreases the mission difficulty by 15%. This item does not guarantee you will succeed if your base success rate is below 100%.
  • Profitable Contract [Cost: 2 Victor Medals each] - Increases the amount of ammunition or supplies found by completion missions by 100%. Should only be used on Orange ? Missions.
  • Energy Source - [Cost: 3 Victor Medals each] - The mission takes three times as long to complete, but the reward of completing the mission is increased by 80%. This item does not increase the reward of the Faith, Victor Medals, or Construction points missions.
  • Special Equipment - [Cost: 3 Victor Medals each] - Decreases the mission difficulty by 30%. This item does not guarantee you will succeed if your base success rate is below 100%.
Elite Equipment / Special Equipment bolded statements - I have confirmed this through personal testing. If your base success rate is below 100%, you still will have a chance to fail these missions, even if the interface says 100% when using these items.

The amount of credits to instantly complete a mission vary by how much time the mission has left on the clock. Instantly completing missions with credits DOES NOT guarantee a 100% success rate. Your success rate is dictated by your Adepts and what classes they are (described in Part 6).

Types of Missions (including icon color) are the following:
  • Red ? - Combat missions. These usually always cost Ammo (a resource required to run missions) and will always give Gifts (a resource used to upgrade Providence Temple Ranks) as a reward for completing them.
  • Orange ? - Gathering Resources missions. These missions do not cost any resources to start, and always reward either Ammo or Supplies as rewards.
  • Purple ? - Invasion missions. These missions usually have to do with Invasions. Completing these awards various different rewards such as Victor Medals, Faith, Followers, Gifts, or high amounts of Adept EXP. Purple ? Missions CANNOT BE REFRESHED for 7,500 credits - You MUST wait the full 8 hour cycle of missions to get these missions again.
  • Light Blue ? - Order Development missions. These cost Supplies generally to start (one of two resources used to run missions) and will always give Followers (used to upgrade Order Rank) and one of three adept items to upgrade Adept Quality. (detailed further in Part 6)
  • Green ? - Story or Crafting missions. Story missions may require you to send adepts during the main story to get certain items or tasks done. You must do these before you can advance steps if the game requires you to do them. For Crafting missions, you must have God of Knowledge unlocked and the nodes for crafting unlocked too. No Green ? Missions can be refreshed for 7,500 credits at all. You again, MUST wait the full 8 hour cycle of missions to get the Crafting Missions again. (Hint: Crafting Missions is always 100% success rate no matter what follower you assign!)
  • Dark Red ? - Order Influence missions. These are not unlocked until you've reached 50,000 Prestige. Once a day, you will find an artifact icon on a mission, clear that mission successfully to unlock an Order Influence mission. These always take 1 hour 30 minutes, and upon completion, you will receive 100 Influence towards the Providence that requires the lowest Influence to master. Master a Influence in a Providence to gain bonus stats from that Providence, depending on what adept you assign to that providence.
If you succeed a mission after the time is up, you receive the full reward (and extras if you used an item listed above).

If you fail a mission, you will only receive 50% of the reward listed (this does affect EVERYTHING, including Adept EXP).

Part 5-1: Providences Tab

The Providences tab is where you go to upgrade your temples.

There are four things you need to upgrade Providence Temple Rank.

The Relics (described in Part 2-1, and Part 2-2) upgrade the temple quality, which is required to upgrade Chapels of the same quality. You must upgrade a temple quality first, before you can focus on chapels. (White -> Green -> Blue -> Purple -> Orange)

The four things required to upgrade a Providence Temple Rank are:
  • Greatness - Found by unlocking blue nodes of Greatness in the Upper Level of the Ascension Atlas. (This is described in a different part of the guide)
  • Order Rank - You get followers by doing missions with your adepts.
  • Holy Texts - These are found by claiming your daily gifts from your Hall of Greatness. These do count against your credit cap (500/text).
  • Gifts - These are found by completing combat missions (the red ? ones) with your Adepts. Also acquired from completing the 8 hour Invasion-specific missions and certain other Invasion missions.
Part 5-2 - Chapels

Chapels play a good part in secondary statistics. You must possess a relic (detailed in Part 2-1) of the same type to upgrade a chapel. At the same time, whatever adept you assigned to that Providence, must be of the same quality as the Temple and Chapel (green temple, green adept and green chapel, for example) in order to gain the boost of secondary statistics.

A Temple must be Green before you can upgrade a Chapel to Green.

An Adept must also be at least Green quality as well to receive the bonus from the Chapel.

Read Part 6 on how to get Adepts to higher qualities.

Part 6 - The Adepts Tab

Like Temples and Chapels, Adepts also have the same qualities.

White - Able - No bonuses
Green - Talented - small boost to Efficiency and allows Green Chapels to be built and used
Blue - Skilled - medium boost to Efficiency and allows Blue Chapels to be built and used
Purple - Gifted - large boost to Efficiency and allows Purple Chapels to be built and used
Orange - Legendary - very large boost to Efficiency - (Requires God of Authority) and allows Orange Chapels to be built and used

When you select an Adept, you are presented by this screen below:

And here are what the boxes mean:

Red Box - The Adept Information
from top to bottom

  • Adept's Name: The name of the Adept.
  • Adept's Class: The class of the Adept. - described below
  • Experience: The Experience of the Adept. Earned by completing missions.
  • Stats: Each Adept has two bonus stats. You cannot upgrade the level of the stats at all, you must acquire these from your Hall of Greatness. There ARE perfect 5/5 stat followers for BOTH STATS, but they do not always appear on BOTH Stats! (an example shown below)

  • Bonus Stat: Only earned when you assign that Adept to a providence and gain maximum influence from that Providence. (Described in Part 5-1)
  • Efficiency: The Adept's Efficiency rating. This is dictated by two factors - Level of the Adept and the Quality of the Adept. The higher the level and better the quality, the more base efficiency that Adept has on missions. (Note: Missions will have recommended "Adept Classes" - By assigning said classes into a mission, it gives them a boost on that mission [not exactly sure about the value] in efficiency)
Orange Box - The Adept Actions Box
from top to bottom

  • Enlightenment - Upgrades your adept from the current quality to the next quality above it.
Enlightenment requires the following resources (dependent on quality to upgrade follower)

Note: If an adept has a combination of two main stats of different resources, they will use an even amount of said resources to upgrade that follower.
  • Fighter's Amulet - Used for Adepts that use Constitution or Agility as their main stats. If both main stats are listed for an adept, it requires double the amount on that Adept to upgrade, and does not use the other two resources.
  • Acolyte's Medallion - Used for Adepts that use Intelligence or Wisdom as their main stats. If both main stats are listed for an adept, it requires double the amount on that Adept to upgrade, and does not use the other two resources.
  • Messenger's Necklace - Used for Adepts that use Perception or Charisma as their main stats. If both main stats are listed for an adept, it requires double the amount on that Adept to upgrade, and does not use the other two resources.
See this example below for more information:

So, what if I want to upgrade this Engineer to Gifted (Purple)?

As you can see in this picture I need the following resources:
  • 2,500 Messenger Necklaces (because Perception is listed as a main stat)
  • 2,500 Acolyte Medallions (because Intelligence is listed as a main stat)
  • 150 Adept Emblems (see below)
  • 150 Symbol of Immortality (see below)
  • 150 Champion's Seals (see below)
Once I have gathered the following resources, I can initiate the Rite of Enlightenment for this follower. This process takes several hours in-game time, but you can choose to speed it up with credits instantly, just like missions.

So, what about Adept Emblems/Symbol of Immortality/Champion Seals?
  • These three items are required for the Rite of Enlightenment as well. These three are found by completing squad adventures, group adventures, or invasion adventures to the end. The amount rewarded is based on whichever mission you do. You can use a Variatron item to allow you to freely select those.
  • Variatrons are awarded by completing sudden attack missions below Divine Form level (30,560 prestige) or through global events.
  • Variatrons can also be purchased in the Invasions tab in Market for Victor Medals.
Make a Missionary command

When you issue an adept this command this interface pops up below:

You will receive the following:
  • The one or two types of resources you need to enlighten that follower. (in a much smaller amount)
  • Followers (dependant on the quality when you make that adept a missionary)
While this may sound annoying, later on, when you start to see higher base stat adepts, it will pay off in the long run to make them Missionaries. They promote your order and bring you resources and followers instead of you making them bad guys for ditching your order. (since they technically still worship you anyways)

The Yellow Box - Your Adept Resources

These are the following three, as described for the Rite of Enlightenment.

I know THIS part was documented a ton, but I am very sure that a lot of people would agree with me on trying to understand this mega feature as much as possible.

This should be enough to help you out. Hopefully!
