Ascension: Quick Notes V [Equipment Changes Refined]

This set of Quick Notes to prepare for Ascension comes from the Equipment post made by the NA Portal that appeared early Friday morning. (it is Saturday here now)

Equipment Changes from Ascension!

Main Weapon

Classes no longer have specific Main Weapon bonuses like they used to have. Instead they have flat increases listed below:
  • Based on what quality of weapon you had before Ascension, you will receive the same quality come Ascension. (holding epics = epics in Ascension)
  • In Ascension, Random Epic Item bags are being removed and replaced with credits, no need to actually hold so many items.
  • Specializations determine what kind of bonuses will be on your main weapon.
Tank (Paladin & Knights)
  • Defense from stronger attacks (% based).
  • Blocks damage equal to 1% of character health (% based)
  • Overall damage is increased by (% based)
Support (Lightbinder & Alchemist)
  • Support Aura efficiency (basically increases the % damage boost of the aura, since Auras converted from Might to Damage %)
  • Shield Power (Increases power of shield-based buffs)
  • Overall damage is increased by (% based)
Long Range Attackers (Archer, Gunner and Outlaw)
  • Increases overall ranged damage by (% based)
  • Increases damage during the first moments of combat starting by (% based)
  • Reduces defense of enemy targets. (% based) Only activated by basic attacks, increases damage to target by (% based). This does not work on boss enemies.
Magic Attackers (Warlock/Witch, Cryomancer, Kinetic, and Necromancer)
  • Increases overall ranged damage by (% based)
  • Increases damage during the first moments of combat starting by (% based)
  • Increases control efficiency by (% based)
Melee Attackers (Berserker, Monk and Slayer)
  • Increases overall melee damage by (% based)
  • Increases shield penetration (% based, makes it easier to break enemy shields)
  • Increases damage during the first moments of combat starting by (% based)
Secondary Weapon
  • Secondary weapons turn into Artifacts. Based on your current equipment of Secondary Weapons, you will receive whichever quality Artifacts (up to 5) in the launch of the pre-patch of Ascension.
  • If you acquired a Legendary Ring, instead of Epic Artifacts, you will receive a set of 3 Legendary Artifacts.
Stones of Power & Jewelry
  • Jewelry is pretty much a merged version of Amulets and old rings.
  • You cannot equip any 2 of the SAME Jewelry or Stones of Power items.
  • Bonuses that these items can come with instead of Might will now give 2 of the 4 following increases - Increased Damage, Increased Health, Increased Critical Damage, and Increased Impulse Damage.
Upgrading Items / Acquiring New Items
  • Pay credits to upgrade tier of buildings (they work the same way as stones did)
  • Enhancement stones were removed from the game (refunded into credits, as pointed out in Ascension Notes III)
  • To obtain the best equipment possible, check the Invasion panel (post-Ascension)
