Due to how serious the post is, it was delayed by one day.
The Moxxi's Mini-Golf post will now appear in July now.
A post will appear in June 12 to replace that post. It will likely be one about Treasure Chests.

Today's Borderlands 3 Blog Post is About:
- The Dahl's Capital Ship, your transportation between worlds in Borderlands 3
Welcome to today's Borderlands 3 Post:
The Dahl's Capital Ship is a huge topic. The general is just the basic lowdown
What is the Capital Ship?
- A ship that is built by Dahl Corporation for the Crimson Raiders in order to travel to other worlds, since Fast Travel units built by Dahl/Hyperion never actually could reach intergalactic planet systems.
- It is a major city style with building plots. You use cash to purchase the new plots.
- Use cash and blueprints to construct better buildings.
- Your ship is saved to your PROFILE (not character), so you don't have to worry too much about having to build the same thing or farm the same blueprints over and over.
- Fully customizable with skins and plots for your ship.
What are the Plots?
- Command Center - The main central base for your ship. This is where you transfer to worlds and get side missions from the command table. By upgrading the Command Center it unlocks the ability to build different buildings.
- Barracks - Houses soldiers and other people. By upgrading the Barracks it unlocks new side missions and the ability to build a bar and a gym.
- Buff Gardens - Gives you the ability to plant seeds which are used to create liquor. The liquor can be used to consume to give your character some temporary buffs for your character. Upgrading the Buff Gardens increases the efficiency and amount of plots you can plant seeds.
- Transit Station - Gives you ability to Fast Travel to major cities from your capital ship. Does not work with all Fast Travel units. Upgrading the Transit Station gives you more points to Fast Travel from your ship.
- The Subspace Vault - A bank for your character or account. Upgrading the Subspace Vault gives you access to a Claptrap Secret Stash, the ability to pay for Bank SDU upgrades from your capital ship, or giving your account a 25% increase in cash drops permanently.
- House - You don't have to really live at the Barracks - because you are a Crimson Raider leader, you can construct your house on the ship's plots too. No, they won't call you commander, because you aren't a commander. By upgrading the house, you get Weapon Storage to display your cool looking legendaries, as well as another chest to store more weapons in - like an Attic, huh?
- Crafter's Workshop - Build and construct weapons here. Upgrading this building allows you to craft Legendaries, and also other unique weapons.
- Arena - Fight against Digistruct enemies in wave after wave combat. Your arena leaders will thank you for amping up the crowd in your capital ship and spectators will be watching you from the arena stands. Upgrading this building gives access to new Arena scenarios, some worth Gold Dahl Weapon Chests!
Why a Capital Ship?
- Pandoran technology wasn't as advanced as what people thought - the people didn't think Hyperion was good? Hyperion built their own ship to traverse the galaxy long before Handsome Jack died. (Borderlands 2) to continue their legacy after his death. The new CEO (presumely the guy from Tales of the Borderlands) is out seeking more items to make himself more powerful.. and perhaps wipe out their rivals, but honestly we don't know that, yet.
- The capital ship gives you a way to traverse the universe, instead of being forced to stay in the galaxy.
- It just sounds cool because having multiple fortresses is a stupid concept.
Is this a way to spend money?
Money was way too plentiful in Borderlands 1, and in Borderlands 2 it got to the point where all you spent your money on (at Overpower Level 8) was on ammo and sometimes slot machines. In Borderlands 3, you should be able to upgrade your ship by paying the builders a flat construction amount and also the blueprint needed to upgrade your buildings.
In The Pre-Sequel money was too small. It didn't feel like the game was epic enough. I think the Borderlands 2 method of money is the best of all the game series, however it should be curved much less steep (for example @ level 50, 61, 72 and OP8) and should be moving upwards at a steady, brisk pace of earning money, instead of earning money at a very slow pace.
Money needs to have a more beneficial spending.
Each building will be detailed in more depth in future blog posts for Borderlands 3.
Stay tuned for more! The next post is about Treasure Chests / Lootable Objects. The post is scheduled to arrive on June 12 unless something happens.
