• The Mini-Game (or whatever): Slot Machines

Welcome to another Seasonal Wardens Post about Borderlands 3. Today's topic is Slot Machines, the popular side Mini-Game people considered where you blew hundreds of millions of dollars trying to get a legendary with pure luck. 

In Borderlands 2, we had 3 variants of this:

• The normal machine, which costed Cash to play.
• The Torgue machine, which costed Torgue tokens to play.
• The Tiny Tina's lootsposion machine, which costed Eridium to play.

Now, don't get me wrong, the slot machines is a great way to spend money and Eridium but in Borderlands 3, Cash still needs more to spend in order to make it so you need to carry some always instead of just dumping all your money on ammunition so...

Normal Machines

These are located at the following places:

• Sanctuary
• Moxxi's Game Facility (Pandora)
• Dahl Capital Ship - Gaming Gardens (Req. Tier 1)
• Icebark City Inn
• River City Headquarters
• Watertown Inn
• Watertown Gaming Plaza
• Golden Loot Palace - Main Plaza

Basically identical to the Borderlands 2 Normal Machines: Cost of formula:

Cost to play: I'd say $100-$500 per play, multiplied by your level. 

Drops:

• Cash drops / Mad Moxxi's Tickets
• White weapons
• Green weapons
• Blue weapons
• Purple weapons (very rare)
• Orange weapons (ultra rare)
• Live grenade
• Customization skins (all white/green/blues only)
• Eridium bars
• Moonstone

High-Stakes Machines

These are located at the following places:

• Moxxi's Game Facility (Pandora)
• Dahl Capital Ship - Gaming Gardens (Req. Tier 3)
• Watertown Gaming Plaza
• Golden Loot Palace - Main Plaza

Cost to play: 4-5 times the normal machine cost.

Drops:

• Cash drops / Mad Moxxi's Tickets
• Green weapons
• Blue weapons
• Purple weapons
• Orange weapons
• Pink weapons
• Live MIRV grenade (5 times the explosions)
• Customization skins (all skins, including orange skins)
• Eridium stacks
• Moonstone

Eridium Machines

Locations:

• Moxxi's Gaming Place (Pandora)
• Dahl Capital Ship - Gaming Gardens (Req. Tier 2)
• Watertown Gaming Plaza
• Golden Loot Palace - Main Plaza

Drops

• Cash Explosions / Mad Moxxi's Tickets Explosion (30-40 Drops)
• White items
• Blue items
• Purple items
• Orange items (very rare)
• Pink items (very rare)
• Turquoise items (light blue) [mega ultra rare]
• Live MIRV shocking grenade (3 times the shock)
• Customization skins (all skins)
• Eridium stacks
• Moonstone

Cost to play: 2 Eridium per play

Wheel-Of-Loot Machines

New in Borderlands 3, this also gives you an interesting take on a machine in the same concept as Tiny Tina's Dice Rolls.

Locations:

• Watertown Gaming Plaza
• Golden Loot Palace - Main Plaza

Drops:

• Cash pickups / Mad Moxxi's Tickets
• White items
• Green items
• Blue items
• Purple items
• Orange items
• Live incendiary grenade
• Customization skins (all skins)
• Eridium bars/stacks
• Wheel of Loot spins
• Moonstone

The spin activates a wheel next to the machine, where it stops, nobody knows...

Contains on spin:

• Nothing (red 0 slot)
• White item (white paint slot)
• Green item (green paint slot)
• Blue item (blue paint slot)
• Purple item (purple paint slot)
• Orange item (orange paint slot)
• Pink item (pink paint slot)
• Turquoise item (light blue paint slot)
• Gold item (Gold bar slot) [extremely rare/Jackpot]
• Eridium bar (single bar slot)
• Eridium stack (many bars slot)
• Respin (wheel icon slot)
• Moonstone (rock slot)
• Moonstone Cluster (many rocks slot)
• Elemental fountain (psycho head) - drops 3 live AoE grenades near the machine. one is incendiary, one is shock and one is corrosive
• Tickets (ticket slot) - drops 10 Mad Moxxi's tickets
• Cash (money symbol) - drops 25 cash drops
• Golden key (key symbol)
• Vault Loot key (multiple key symbol - only appears in Golden Loot Palace machines)

The Wheel-Of-Looters concept may be the identical same, but for now, we can't really predict that.
